Each new year brings a fresh set of features, changes, and innovations to the vehicles on our roads. And Mitsubishi, being among the more cutting edge and boundary-pushing manufacturers, has made a number of model year changes to its 2018 lineup.

Below is a quick rundown of what to expect from the most popular new Mitsubishi models.

Meet the 2018 Mitsubishi Lineup

Lancer

If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. There were no changes made to the new Lancer, and that’s not a bad thing. The 6.1-inch touchscreen display, Bluetooth connectivity, and backup camera all remain standard for the 2018 model year.

Drivers can opt for an all-wheel drive engine upgrade and the generous fuel economy and spacious interior is enjoyed by all.

Mirage

A 7-inch touchscreen display has been added as standard to the Mirage while the SE and GT trims now feature Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™ on a 6.5-inch smartphone link display. Bluetooth and voice control also now come standard as do rear floor heater ducts. The GT has also added heated front seats.

The Mirage G4 experienced all the same model year changes as its Mirage sibling.

Outlander

All four trims of the 2018 Outlander are equipped with a 7-inch display screen complete with a rearview camera. Each trim also features heated exterior mirrors, dual-zone automatic climate control, and rear privacy glass.

Upgraded trims include Apple CarPlay™, Android Auto™, heated front seats, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel.

Outlander Sport

The Outlander Sport also gets the 7-inch display with rearview camera treatment while automatic highbeam headlights, forward collision mitigation, and lane departure warning are found on select trims.

Outlander PHEV

It was a long wait, but Mitsubishi’s plug-in hybrid is finally here. And the wait was worth it. The 2018 Outlander PHEV, Mitsubishi’s very first hybrid, boasts the longest electric range, the only one from a non-luxury brand to include four-wheel drive, and is the only plug-in of any kind to offer Level 3 fast charging.
